What is Wireless Charging?
Wireless charging allows you to charge your phone by simply placing it down on a wireless charger. It’s a convenient way to charge that eliminates the need for constant plugging and unplugging. However, you still need a wall charger and cable to provide the power.
How Does Wireless Charging Work?
Wireless chargers use electromagnetic induction to transfer energy to a special receiver in the back of your phone. Smartphones with this receiver are called “Qi-compatible”. To take advantage of wireless charging technology, you will need a Qi-compatible device.

How fast is wireless charging?
Wireless charging technology is not yet as fast as conventional wired charging, especially when compared to high-speed charging technologies like Power IQ, Quick Charge, or Power Delivery.
Current wireless chargers have three different potential outputs: 5W (standard), 7.5W (wireless fast-charge for Apple), and 10W (wireless fast-charge for Samsung). Some wireless chargers are capable of delivering all three, depending on the device being used.
To use fast-charging modes, wireless chargers usually require a Quick Charge 2.0/3.0 or Power Delivery wall charger.
Why won’t my phone charge with my wireless charger?
Try the following steps:
– Make sure that you are using an AC adapter with an output of 2A or more
– Make sure that your phone is placed on the center of the wireless charging surface
– If your phone is in a case, make sure that the case is no thicker than 5 mm
– Remove any obstructions between the back of the phone and the charging surface, like keys, credit cards, or other metal objects
– Try using a different cable
– Restart your phone and try again
Can I charge my phone with my phone case on?
Yes, but to charge effectively, your phone case should be no thicker than 5 mm. There also should not be any other items on the back of your phone like pop sockets, credit cards, keys, or other metal objects.
Does wireless charging make my phone hot?
It’s normal for your phone to become a little warm during wireless charging, but it should not become so hot as to be uncomfortable. If it does so, please discontinue use and contact customer service right away.
Do wireless chargers make noise?
Wireless chargers do generate a faint noise during operation. If the noise becomes very loud, please contact customer service.
How can I charge Airpods wirelessly?
We recommend using wireless charging pads to charge the AirPods case. Otherwise, the AirPods case may slip off of the charging surface.
1. Place the AirPods case on the wireless charging surface with the status light facing up (with or without the AirPods inside).
2. The status light will turn on for a few seconds, then off again.
3. If you do not see the status light, try repositioning the AirPods case on the charging surface
4. Due to the AirPods case overheating protection feature, the case may periodically stop charging for a few seconds before beginning again (you will see the status light). This is a normal occurrence while charging.
